While I still listen to NPR, I do so sparingly. However, my rationale is not that I’m looking for a two-way conversation with the radio or a new type of experience. I’ve slowed down because I find the vast majority of the stories on public radio focus on death, destruction, depression, and very little that inspires optimism.
